We will be closed until further notice, as we are adhering to the goverment guidelines.
Orders can still be placed online, and we will be depsatching orders twice a week on a 3-5 day delivery service. Please expect your order to take around 7 working days from ordering to arrive with you.
Our phone lines will be temporarily unaccessible, so please email any enquiries to email@example.com, as our staff can still access these.

We are a family owned and managed business, established in Bradford by Arthur Claude Sissling back in 1904. We currently have fourth and fifth generation family members working within the business. Several members of our staff are Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) trained and qualified.
We maintain a fully staffed and comprehensively stocked 7,000 Sq Ft commercial warehouse, showroom and sales counter at the address below. We are pleased to receive customers at our premises Monday to Friday 0730 to 1645 and Saturday mornings 0830 to 1145 (bank holiday weekends excepted), where they are assured of a warm welcome.

Making a Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept card payments.We accept Visa and MasterCard. Your card will be charged for your goods immediately. Our website shows live stock levels or gives an idication of estimated despatch time for non-stocked items. If any items on your order will be subject to undue delay then we will notify you as soon as possible. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Our website indicates LIVE stock levels in realtime. These however are subject to possible human handling and data input error in our warehouse and may not be 100% accurate all of the time, Please give us a call if you wish to confirm a stock level on a paricular product needed on an urgent timescale.
If a product shows as being 'on order' then we are temporarily out of stock and awaiting new supply.
Items that are not normally held ex-stock have a lead-time indication i.e. "Usually Ships Within 2-3 Working Days" et, etc. These are our estimated despatch times based on our past experience of the lead-time of that.particular manufacturer and cannot be guaranteed. Please call us to check availability if working to a tight deadline.
Delivery and Shipping
We do NOT use the national postal service (Royal Mail).
Our delivery partner is APC Courier Logistics. APC offers one of the UK's best and most reliable services to both domestic and commercial addresses.
All orders are fully trackable. All orders must be signed for by someone at your specified delivery address. If no one is in to sign for the order, APC will reattempt delivery three times over 3 different days, if it has not been signed for by then it will be returned to us. At this point we can resend it but an additional carriage charge will apply. Proof of Delivery (POD) can be supplied on request and is usually available verbally (surname only) 24 hours after delivery has taken place. Electronic signature hardcopies can take upto 72 hours.
You can phone us on 01274 200320 to change the delivery address if we have already sent the parcel, however we cannot guarantee that we can change the address, this is dependent upon your new address being within the same APC delivery depot zone as your first address. If your ammended delivery address is in an another depot delivery zone then an additional delivery charge will have to be paid.
If your package can be delivered through your letter box or is of small value, you can ring us on 01274 200320 and we can instruct APC to post it or leave it in a designated safe place. This however is at your own risk, if the parcel is stolen from the safe place, we cannot be held responsible, nor can we accept any liability for damage claims on non-signed for deliveries.
All orders, including thouse for next working day delivery, received by 1430 and that are in stock will be despatched the same day. No despatches are made on Saturdays or Sundays.
Please note that NEXT DAY deliveries are WORKING days i.e. goods despatched on a FRIDAY will not be delivered until MONDAY. This only applies to orders for in-stock goods. If you order any non-stocked items or items that are showing as 'on order' then your order will be despatched on a next working basis on the day the item/s arrive into stock. Our website gives estimated shipping despatch times for non-stock items or shows 'on order' if temporarily out of stock.

OVER-LENGTH & BULKY ITEMS - Certain items due to their excessive length (2500mm or longer) or very heavy / bulky items are subject to additional handling charges by our carriers. We regret that we are unable to absorb these additional costs and must pass them onto our customers. Items that are subject to additional shipping charges are clearly advised as such in our store. Any additional shipping charges will automatically be added to your order at the checkout stage.

Returns Policy For Goods Surplus To Customer Requirement:
Customers must not return goods without first contacting us by e-mail or telephone for a returns authorisation number.
Goods must be returned to us unfitted and unused, in a clean resaleable condition as supplied, and in original packaging.
Goods must be returned to us at the customer's expense, preferably by a secure 'signature required' service such as Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. We will not accept liability for any returns that go missing or get damaged in transit. The returns authorisation number should be clearly marked on the package.
Goods may be returned to us within 7 days of delivery without incurring any restocking charges.
After 7 days and up to 28 days from delivery a handling and restocking charge of 25% of the goods value (excluding VAT) will be applicable. No returns are permitted after 28 days. Carriage and packing charges are not refundable.
We regret we are unable to accept return of extra cut keys or any locks or cylinders that have been master keyed or keyed alike to your requirements. We are also unable to accept return of any item that has been cut to length off a reel, roll or coil such as chain or draught seals.
Once goods are received safely back into our warehouse, inspected and accepted we will contact the customer for their credit card details and refund their account accordingly.
In the unlikely event that the goods are not, in our opinion, in a condition acceptable for credit, they will be returned to the customer and no refund will be made.

Claims For Damaged/Faulty Goods or Short/Erroneous Deliveries
Customers must advise us of any damage, fault, shortage or error within 2 working days of delivery by e-mail or telephone. Claims after this period will not be entertained.
We will send replacement goods out, free of charge, as soon as possible (subject to stock availability).
We will then liaise with the customer and arrange for our carriers to collect the goods to be returned. If the return package is of a small enough size and low value we may elect to send a pre-paid padded envelope for the customer to post the return back to us, at our risk.
Orders received before noon (Monday to Friday) are despatched on the day of order. Orders received at other times are despatched the next working day. All despatches are subject to stock availability.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Remittance Terms Online payments are only accepted by valid credit / debit card payment in GBP.
You can send us payment details by post if you prefer or payment by cheque is acceptable. Goods will be shipped once payment has cleared.
