A C Sissling Specialist Ironmongers Limited are pleased to announce the launch of Salice Direct, a group micro site dedicated to Salice cabinet hinges, Adar drawer runners and Hettich ball bearing drawer slides. Manufactured in Italy by Arturo Salice Spa, Salice kitchen cabinet hinges are available in a wide range to suit all aspects of cabinet design.

Adar drawer runners and slides are available in a number of different designs to suit all drawer slide and runner requirements. Included in the range of drawer slides are multi extension roller bearing runners, self opening drawer slides and full metal sided drawer packs.

Norsound acoustic seals are designed and developed to help both specifier and end user alike comply to current building regulations such as Approved Document E and Approved Document M. Our acoustic seals can be used on a standard fire door to give decibel reductions in excess of those stipulated in both document E and building bulletin 93 (BB93).

Perimeter Seals:
Perimeter seals are an essential part to an effective acoustic door seal solution as they effectively fill the natural gap created between door leaf and frame in a doorset. This range covers both retro and rout in versions to suit almost every requirement. The seals work by filling the air gaps that create sound leaks around the head and jambs of the doorset, this also stops smoke, light, dust…etc.

Threshold Plates:
The 600 series are a range of stylish, low profile threshold plates in various widths to suit numerous applications. Threshold plates complement our acoustic seals by giving an even surface to seal against, if the threshold seal was sitting against carpet or an uneven surface it would allow sound through the crevices created.

Door Bottom Seals:
The Norsound 800 series (sometimes referred to as Threshold Seals) are designed to work in conjunction with a perimeter seal and where practical a threshold plate. With acoustics, unlike fire and smoke sealing it is essential you seal the threshold of a door as sound will make its way through any crevice available. In the range we have both mechanical and non mechanical seal solutions.

Panel Clip Connector Multi-Clip

A single plastic component that is simple and easy to use.
Multi-clip is rectangular in shape and can be screwed in place from all sides. Fits easily into system32 drilling.

Multi-Clip locates by means of a flexible tongue. These tongues are serrated and slightly sprung in order to provide a firm location.
Multi-Clips wide tolerance band provides for significant adjustment after location.

Multi-Clip is versatile in use.

For wall panelling, plinths, fascias and cladding of all types.
In all cases, the fitting can be screwed on parallel or at a right angle to the fascia or cladding component.
If the clip connectors have to be pushed on from the front, one of the fittings is screwed on at an angle of 90degrees.

Freud manufactures an extensive range of circular saws blades for the woodworking industry. From circular saws to mitre saws and from panel saws to trim saw blades. We also supply an extensive range of router bits, both straights and profiles, forstner bits and accessories. The comprehensive range will allow any craftsman or trade professional to produce the finest finishes and creative mouldings.

A router bit’s performance depends on two main factors; it’s cutting quality and it’s life span. Performance comparison tests were conducted on Freud router bits with particular focus on cutting life and finish.

Straight router bits with identical dimensions (1/2″ cutting diameter, 1/2″ shank, 2 flute) were mounter on a CNC router. A number of 1/4″ deep grooves were then routered into a chipboard-melamine coated panel.

The performance evaluation was based on the number of chips on the melamine coating and averaging the first and last 33 routed feet.

Initially, all router bits performed in a similar way but as the number of routed feet increased it was soon clear that the Freud router bit gave a far superior performance to the other bits.
