Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling United Kingdom:
All orders received by noon will be despatched the same day, orders received after 12 noon will be despatched the following day, subject to stock availability.
Despatches and Deliveries will only be made Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
Please note that we do not make deliveries on Saturdays
If goods are not in stock and cannot be obtained within 3 working days we will advise the customer by e-mail.
Our carriers will make only two attempts to deliver your goods, usually on consecutive working days. The delivery driver will leave a card with your local depot contact details if he cannot get a response at your address. If both delivery attempts are unsucessful it is then your responsibility to arrange collection from your local depot. If you require the goods to be redelivered or redirected then another delivery charge will be payable. Goods will only be held at your local depot for a maximum of 7 days, before being returned to us.
If the customer opts for delivery without signature then A C Sissling (Specialist Ironmongers) Limited waive all and any liability for short, erroneous, missing or damaged deliveries whatsover and any responsibility for the goods shipped rests with the customer once the goods leave our depot.
Customers are reminded that whilst A C Sissling (Specialist Ironmongers) Ltd will ship goods for delivery without signature such a method is not recommended.

UK Mainland Orders (see exceptions below):
Upto £99.99 ex VAT carriage is charged based on total order weight in kilogrammes;
upto 20Kgs: 48 hour* @ £7.50+VAT
over 20Kgs: as above plus 50p per Kilo over 20Kgs
Orders for £100 ex VAT and over are shipped carriage free to Mainland UK locations with the exception of the Scottish Highlands, postal districts AB37-56, IV1-40, IV52-54, IV63, FK19-21, KW1-14, PA21-39, PH14-41, HS1-9, IV41-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3.
PLEASE NOTE: Free shipping may exclude large or other heavy items that incur excessive shipping charges. In these cases the cost will not be shown on your order confirmation, however, you will be contacted prior to your order being processed in order to confirm the extra charge.

Carriage is charged based on total order weight in kilogrammes;

Exceptions:
Scottish Highlands, postal districts AB21-56, PH11-44, IV1-56, PA20-88 & Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and the Scilly Isles are charged by weight.
We do not use the regular postal service and require all our shipments to be signed for upon delivery.
Due to the new 'Pricing in Proportion' policy of the Post Office we are no longer able to offer Royal Mail special delivery for small packets.

Claims For Damaged/Faulty Goods or Short/Erroneous Deliveries
Customers must advise us of any damage, fault, shortage or error within 2 working days of delivery by e-mail or telephone. Claims after this period will not be entertained.
We will send replacement goods out, free of charge, as soon as possible (subject to stock availability).
We will then liaise with the customer and arrange for our carriers to collect the goods to be returned. If the return package is of a small enough size and low value we may elect to send a pre-paid padded envelope for the customer to post the return back to us, at our risk.

Returns Policy Returns Policy For Goods Surplus To Customer Requirement:
Customers must not return goods without first contacting us by e-mail or telephone for a returns authorisation number.
Goods must be returned to us unfitted and unused, in a clean resaleable condition as supplied, and in original packaging.
Goods must be returned to us at the customer's expense, preferably by a secure 'signature required' service such as Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. We will not accept liability for any returns that go missing or get damaged in transit. The returns authorisation number should be clearly marked on the package.
Goods may be returned to us within 7 days of delivery without incurring any restocking charges.
After 7 days and up to 90 days from delivery a handling and restocking charge of 15% of the goods value (excluding VAT) will be applicable. No returns are permitted after 90 days. Carriage and packing charges are not refundable.
We regret we are unable to accept return of extra cut keys or any locks or cylinders that have been master keyed or keyed alike to your requirements.
Once goods are received safely back into our warehouse, inspected and accepted we will contact the customer for their credit card details and refund their account accordingly.
In the unlikely event that the goods are not, in our opinion, in a condition acceptable for credit, they will be returned to the customer and no refund will be made.

Remittance Terms Online payments are only accepted by valid credit / debit card payment in GBP.
You can send us payment details by post if you prefer or payment by cheque is acceptable. Goods will be shipped once payment has cleared.
