Unique Feartures In Exitex Weather Protection Kit

A - Weatherbar Kwikfit Lug

• Patented Kwikfit Extending Endlugs are designed to eliminate the need to either notch the weatherbar or doorframe during installation.
• Simply take the external measurement between each doorframe and cut the weatherbar to this length. Place the weatherbar on the threshold and extend the lugs from either side into the doorframe rebate - the lugs are designed to work with doorframe rebates up to and including 25mm.
• In addition the lugs seal the channel ends preventing any water which may remain in the channel coming into contact with either side of the doorframe.
• They also incorporate a weather fin which prevents air travelling up between the side of the door and the frame - enhancing the performance of the product.
• With the Exitex Kwikfit Lug there is no damage to the doorframe. They extend the life of the doorframe and prevent rot.

B - Sub and Surface Seals

• This patented seal enables the fitting of Weatherbars onto both wet or dry surfaces without the need for silicone or mastic.
• The seal is manufactured from cellular EPDM rubber which is not affected by structural movement and forms a watertight barrier.

C - Protective Weather Deflecting End Caps

• Raw edges and sharp corners that can cause injury.
• They protect the uncoated ends when the product is cut to size - preventing oxidation and extending the life of the coated surface.
• They deflect moisture and rain away from the doorframe - a vulnerable area. Gold end caps for Gold products, Silver end caps for Silver products, Black for other finishes. Included with all Exitex Weather Deflectors.
• The end caps also enhance the product aesthetically.

D - Exitex Striker Block

• This patented product has been designed to accept flush bolts on double doors. It has an overall length of 70 mm.
• The problem encountered previously was that flush bolts used on many doors simply were not long enough to locate into the sill channel.
• The Striker Block is a plastic moulding designed to fit as a standard feature into all Exitex channel sills. The Striker Block is simply screwed into position and a hole is drilled in the block to accept the flush bolt.

E - Ready Mitred Corners

• Exitex door surrounds are supplied with mitred corners for ease of installation and to provide a more aesthetic finish.

F - Door Frame Installation Guide

• This novel installation guide enables the quick and accurate fitting of door surrounds with the door in the open position - preventing bruised knuckles or damaged door surfaces. Supplied free with SDS and FNS Door surrounds.

G - Lifelong Door Threshold Seal

• Maintenance free - tested beyond 100 years of daily use.
• Weather energised - the harder it blows the tighter the seal.
• Pedestrian friendly - no obstruction to cause tripping.
